One doesn’t have to wrestle quite so hard with the complexities of desire and the ethical treatment of others when the answer is always ‘no’. Trying to numerically quantify ‘sluttiness’ is simply moving the goal-posts of virginity back a few paces. It still implies that every new sexual encounter you have leaves you a little more degraded or diminished, and that each one is an indelible mark on your name, just with a wider margin of error."
